Shaimaa Elsisi - Head Women's Tennis Coach
Shaimaa Elsisi returns for her 6th year as the Head Women’s Tennis Coach at
Hillsborough Community College. Elsisi came to HCC after spending two seasons as
the graduate assistant coach at Troy University, working with both the women’s
and the men’s programs.
Elsisi began her coaching career as a volunteer
instructor at local tennis clubs from coast to coast, including the Malibu (CA)
Summer Tennis Camp, the ITA International Tennis Academy (FL), and the Advantage
Tennis Academy (CA). Elsisi is also a Professional Tennis Registry trained
A native of Cairo, Elsisi was one of the top ranked junior players
in Egypt and won many national tournaments before moving to the United States to
play college tennis at Troy University. Elsisi played for Troy and helped the
Trojans to a winning record each year she played after coming to Troy following
a very successful junior international career.
In addition to being an accomplished
tennis coach and a player, Elsisi was an exceptional student, earning both her
Bachelor's degree and Master's degree from Troy University. She earned her
Bachelor's in Sports and Fitness Management with a minor in Recreation in 2008
and earned her Master's degree in Sports and Fitness Management with a
concentration in Sports Administration in 2009.
