Ybor Summit Highlights

An Evening in Ybor: Join us for an exciting night out to Tampa’s Latin Quarter

Known as Tampa’s Latin Quarter for over a century, Ybor City is an exotic blend of aromas, flavors, sights and sounds.  From the scent of roasting Cuban coffee early in the morning to the rhythms of Latin music late into the night, Ybor is a feast for the senses.

Browse eclectic shops and art galleries or visit one of the museums.  See a “hand-rolled cigar” being made or just relax and “people watch” with a cup of Ybor’s famous cafe con leche.

Listen to the music of the night - jazz, blues, salsa, reggae and even hip-hop emanate from a selection of pubs, patio bars and nightclubs.  Ybor is alive with a variety of entertainment that makes it one of Florida’s top-ranked nightspots.

Founded by Vicente Martinez-Ybor as a cigar-manufacturing center, Ybor City today is one of only two National Historic Landmark Districts in Florida.  Red brick buildings, wrought iron balconies and narrow brick streets give it an old-world charm that is a refreshing change of pace from the beach and the mall.

Columbia RestaurantThe Columbia Restaurant:   Where history, classic elegance, and fine dining provide for a grand affair.

The Columbia Restaurant was founded in 1905 by Cuban immigrant Casimiro Hernandez, Sr.  It began in Tampa’s Ybor City as a small corner café frequented by Spanish and Italian immigrants.  Now in its fourth and fifth generation of family ownership and operation, it is the oldest restaurant in Florida and the largest Spanish restaurant in the world.

Situated in Ybor City, a national historic landmark district and once the “Cigar Capital of the World,” the Columbia draws off its history and the unique culture of the area to create an experience that will make for fond memories.

Entertainment Flamenco:  The fire and passion of Spain portrayed in dance.

The Columbia Restaurant is proud to present the Faustino Rios Spanish Dance Company performing the traditional dance of Spain:  The Flamenco! The music, the colorful costumes and the passion of the dance will transport you to the famous Flamenco cafes of Barcelona and Madrid.
