Charge to the Institutional Advisory Council from Dr. Gwendolyn Stephenson
The Institutional Advisory Council (IAC) is a vision brought to reality as the Council meets monthly to enhance communication and to serve as a governance model that involves the voice of all departments from all the campuses. Representatives from all six Campus Advisory Councils (CAC) including the District Administrative Offices make up the IAC and their charge is to discuss issues that impact the institution, excluding collective bargaining. The members of the Council are required to share information with and get input from their colleagues and peers. Recommendations from the Council are presented to the President and the President’s Cabinet. The recommendations are then reviewed and a response is issued back to the Councils for follow-through or more research.
