This website is designed to provide information about the Institutional Advisory Council; its role and
responsibilities within the framework of HCC.
Institutional Advisory Council Mission
The purpose of the IAC is to enhance communication and to serve as a governance model.
Representatives from all five Campus Advisory Councils (CAC) including District offices
make up the IAC and their charge is to discuss issues that impact the institution,
excluding collective bargaining. The members of the Council are to share information with
and get input from their colleagues and peers. Recommendations from the Council will go to
the President and the President’s Cabinet. Feedback will be provided to the Councils.
Members we are expected to attend the following meetings:
The IAC will meet the second Friday of every month.
Members of the Campus Advisory Councils will represent this Council at the monthly
Institutional Advisory Committee (IAC) meeting.
The Goals of the Institutional Advisory Council are:
This committee meets monthly during the academic year. The group is composed of members representing the administration, the faculty and the staff from each campus.
