The function of the Office of Strategic Planning & Analysis is to ensure “that the college engages in ongoing, integrated, and institution-wide research-based planning and evaluation processes incorporating a systematic review of programs and services that (a) results in continuing improvement, and (b) demonstrates that the institution is effectively accomplishing its mission” (SACS Core Requirement 2.5).
As a unit of the Division of Strategic Planning, Research, and Management Information Systems, it serves as administrative lead of the Departments of Institutional Research and Management Information Systems. In a collegial fashion, it works in conjunction with those units to leverage the use of research and data to support strategic decision-making and policy formation for the College.
