| Program Admissions | The Dental Hygiene Program is limited to the number of students it may enroll in each class and minimum requirements for admission must be met prior to the application deadline date. Meeting minimum criteria does not guarantee admission to the Dental Hygiene Program. Student selection will be based on GPA ranking in the required prerequisite courses. If a student is selected and does not enter the program, or is not selected during the annual application process, he/she must reapply to be considered in any subsequent student selection process.
Applicants for Fall Semester must have the following prerequisite courses completed by the May 15th of their starting year:
BSC 1085 Human Anatomy & Physiology I 3 credits
BSC 1085L Human Anatomy & Physiology I Lab 1 credits
BSC 1086 Human Anatomy & Physiology II 3 credits
BSC 1086L Human Anatomy & Physiology II Lab 1 credits
ENC 1101 Freshman English 3 credits
MAC 1105 College Algebra or MGF 1106 Liberal Arts Math I 3 credits
MCB 1000 Microbiology 3 credits
MCB 1000L Microbiology Lab 1 credit
CHM 1032 Chemistry For Health Sciences 3 credits
CHM 1032L Chemistry For Health Sciences Lab 1 credit
Total Credits 22
The admissions process requires that you complete the HCC Health Science application, and forward all official high school and college transcripts to the Admissions Office.
