The HCC Opticianry Program is proud of its student’s accomplishments. We encourage ALL HCC Opticianry students to participate in the Graduation Ceremony. HCC schedules the Graduation Ceremony one time per year in the SPRING Semester.

The 2013 HCC Graduation Ceremony is scheduled for Friday May 3rd 10:00AM at the Florida State Fairgrounds Expo Hall. Opticianry Program Students are gathered into the same general area before the event so that they may all “walk” together. Your HCC Opticianry Instructors make every effort to meet with you before the ceremony begins.

Please follow the instructions below to be prepared for the Graduation Ceremony:

ALL STUDENTS: All 2^nd Year Students were to Apply for Degree last November. "Apply for Degree" and "Apply to Graduate" are the same thing. By doing so your name was added to the Graduating Student List in the event program.  

(**NOTE: You may still walk if you did not apply to graduate. Your name will not appear in the commencement program.)

Please make arrangements to attend the appropriate Final Exam Session, NCLE Review and arrange accommodations to stay in Tampa for the Friday 2:00pm ceremony. We hope to see you all there!

TAMPA ON-CAMPUS STUDENTS: After HCC Spring Break (March 11th to 15th) please visit the HCC Dale Mabry Bookstore to purchase your Cap and Gown or see the online ordering option information below.

eLEARNING STUDENTS: (Any Student that does not attend Tampa On-campus Classes is an eLearning Student.) After HCC Spring Break (March 11th to 15th)

The HCC Bookstore has created an online ordering option for Caps and Gowns and Graduation Announcements.

• Log into the Bookstore system (just as you would to order your textbooks.)
• Click MERCHANDISE (on the left-navigation menu)
• You can choose to order your Cap and Gown and Announcements there

ATTENTION!!!! ABO-NCLE REVIEW Students of the HCC Opticianry Program are instructed to take the ABO Exam in the Fall of their 2^nd Year in the Program and to take the NCLE Exam in the Spring of their 2^nd Year in the Program.

The HCC Opticianry Program offers an ABO and NCLE Review to students of the Program. The review is offered live on the HCC Dale Mabry Campus, Tampa and by live video-conferencing to the Edison Lee Campus, Ft. Myers.

The SPRING 2013 HCC ABO-NCLE Review is scheduled for Thursday May 2nd 2013.

• 8:00am to 11:00am: NCLE Review
• 12:00pm to 3:00pm: ABO Review

OUTLINE OF KEY DEADLINES FOR OPTICIANRY STUDENTS

As a Student of the HCC Opticianry Program, key dates are to be adhered to for submission of documents, applications to certification exams, graduation evaluations and other important objectives. It is the Student’s responsibility to meet these deadlines.
