OPT 1000 Ophthalmic Orientation


Ophthalmic Orientation is designed to give the new Opticianry student general information about the 2 year opticianry program.

OPT 1155 Ophthalmic Lens I


Ophthalmic Lens I educates the student in basic lens theories, formulas and designs.

OPT 1156 Ophthalmic Lens II


Ophthalmic Lens II expands on the theories, formulas and designs of ophthalmic lenses.

OPT 1400L Ophthalmic Laboratory I


Ophthalmic Laboratory I guides the student through the basic theories and procedures of eyewear fabrication.

OPT 1430L Ophthalmic Laboratory II


Ophthalmic Laboratory II is an advancement of Oph Lab I in which the student gains greater skill in the fabrication of ophthalmic eyewear.

OPT 1460 Ophthalmic Dispensing I


Ophthalmic Dispensing I is designed to introduce the student to the theories and functions of eyewear dispensing.

OPT 1460L Ophthalmic Dispensing Lab I


Ophthalmic dispensing Lab I allows the student to practice the thoeries and procedures of eyewear dispensing.

OPT 2030 Board Review


Board Review prepares the soon-to-gradute Student to take the Florida State Board of Opticianry Exam.

A&P of the Eye presents an overall view of the design of the eye and it's functions.

Refractometry Theory introduces the student to the theories and procedures of the refracting exam.

OPT 2910 Directed Research

Directed Research is a business management optical based course in which the student learns and applies business procedures to a business project. The project guides the student through all aspects of the developement and management of opening a retail optical business.
