Thank you for your interest in the Hillsborough Community College Opticianry Program.

To better serve our students we have developed this Online New Opticianry Student Orientation. To be prepared to begin our unique program you will be required to complete all areas of this Orientation. The information here is presented in various formats:

Please be sure to read and watch all presented information and follow all instructions carefully as it is the Student’s responsibility to be informed and prepared prior to the start of classes for any given semester.

All Students interested in enrolling in the HCC Opticianry Program MUST complete the online orientation in full to be eligible to begin the program.

STEP ONE and STEP TWO are to be completed in full before beginning the Opticianry Online Orientation. STEP ONE provides to you the documents needed to successfully complete the Online Orientation. STEP TWO provides you the information and resources to apply to HCC.

SOFTWARE COMPATIBILITY TESTS

While you are waiting for your Application for Admission to be processed:

• It is the Student's responsibility to have compatible computer hardware and software.
• At this time our online courses are not compatible with MAC OS. Students must have a PC or run Windows for MAC.
• Students must have a scanner to submit coursework electronically through their online courses.
• Students are required to solve all technical hardware and software issues prior to enrolling in the Opticianry Program.
 

ONLY after you have completed STEP ONE and STEP TWO above may you begin the HCC Online Opticianry Orientation.

SUBMIT THE STUDENT DATA FORM (from Step One) TO THE OPTICIANRY PROGRAM BEFORE GOING ANY FURTHER.

ATTENTION: If you completed this orientation prior to October 28th, 2011 you are required to retake the orientation for the Spring 2012 Semester.

Many updates to the orientation have been done since the start of the Fall 2011 Semester. The most current version of this orientation was released: 10/28/ 2011 at 2:30pm.
