About Us

The Center for International Education (CIE) seeks to create a learning environment that prepares students for an increasingly interconnected and changing, global community.

In addition to promoting student study abroad, facilitating faculty professional development, and internationalizing the curriculum, the Center for International Education provides specialized services for international students attending the College on F-1 visas.  The Center's dedicated professionals assist F-1 international students in a variety of ways, including providing guidance on admissions, visas, orientation, academics, housing, and transferring to a four-year college or university.

University Transfer

For international students who intend to earn a Bachelor’s degree or higher in the United States, HCC is a great place to start!  The College provides a general studies, or liberal arts curriculum, which qualifies students to transfer as a third-year student to a four-year college or university.  After earning an Associate in Arts (AA) degree at HCC, students may transfer to one of Florida's 11 public universities, or to other four-year colleges and universities throughout the United States.
