June 2012 - STUDENT green-leaders retreat
A group of 13 HCC student "Green-Leaders" participated in an extended weekend retreat introducing them to South Florida's unique ecosystems first-hand and further developing their leadership skills through exploration, reflection and fun!
Student Green-Leaders had the opportunity to experience a kayaking trip through Rookery Bay in Naples, visit Clyde Butcher's life size mural displays of the swamps and natural environment, drive through Everglades Alley, take an airboat ride across the waters in the Everglades, feed Tarpon (easily over 200lb fish) by hand in Islamorada, snorkel over the endangered coral reefs of Looe Key and explore the culture of Key West. June 2012 - Mr. Nordquist Attends Sustainable Enterprise Conference
Mr. Sean Nordquist recently returned from the 7th Annual Sustainable Enterprise Conference in Rohnert Park, California, where he visited Redwood Hill Farm & Creamery. This farm sustainably produces cheese, yogurt and milk from their humanely raised goats. See more photos on our Facebook page.

HCC celebrated 2012 Earth Day events at all 5 campuses. Students organized and led these efforts. We are proud of our students, staff and faculty for their commitment to these fun-filled and educational activities.
