Program Options:
BASIC OPTION (Daytime):
For applicants with no Nursing License or Certificate
Located at: Both Dale Mabry and Plant City Campuses
Accepts Students: Both Fall and Spring
BASIC OPTION (Evening/ Saturday):
Located at: Dale Mabry Campus - SPRING Admission
Located at: Plant City Campus - FALL Admission
TRANSITION OPTION (LPN to RN- Daytime Only):
For Students with CURRENT Florida LPN License. Graduates of Erwin Technical Center (Tampa, FL) and Brewster (Tampa, FL) are eligible for seven (7) articulated credits. Graduates of all other LPN Programs (Nationwide) must have no less than six (6) months experience within the last three (3) years and are eligible for seven (7) experiencial credits

TRANSITION OPTION (Paramedic to RN- Daytime only):
For Students with current Florida Paramedic License and no less than six (6) months professional experience.

**At the present time, only students with COMPLETED Prerequisites will be considered for admission to the Nursing Program.
Students requesting application to the Nursing Program must have the following:
(* See pre-requisite courses)
1. Criminal background check demonstrating they have not been convicted of any crime outlined in Administrative Procedure 3.200 and 3.201.
2. High School Diploma or GED
3. Minimum of 2.0 college cumulative grade (excluding college preparatory courses)
4. Completion (prior to submitting an application)of the following 21 credit hours of Nursing Program general education pre-requisite courses with no less than a C grade in each course
a. ENC 1101 Freshman English 1 3cr b. BCS 1085 Human Anatomy & Physiology 1 3cr
c. BSC 1085L Human Anatomy & Physiology Lab 1cr
d. BSC 1086 Human Anatomy & Physiology II 3cr
e. BSC 1086L Human Anatomy & Physiology Lab II 1cr
f. MAC1105 College Algebra 3cr or MGF1106 Math For Liberal Arts 3cr g. SYG 2000 Introduction to Sociology 3cr.
h. MCB 1000 Microbiology 3cr.
i. MCB 1000L Microbiology Lab 1cr.
The above listed courses must be completed with no less than a C grade in each course, prior to submitting an application to the Nursing Program (Deadline for FALL Entry is January 15th of each year. Deadline for SPRING Entry is June 1st of each year.)

TRANSFER STUDENTS
HCC Nursing Program accepts Transfer Students on a "space available basis" who meet the following qualifications:
Must apply and be accepted as an HCC Student
Must have completed ALL prerequisites
Must pass FDLE Check and Drug Screening
Must submit official transcript from an NLNAC Accredited Program.
Must submit letter from director of current program stating that they are a student in "good standing."
Transfer Credits will be determined on a case-by-case basis. (Course syllabi will be needed.)
HCC will only consider acceptance of one (1) semester Nursing Credits from another Nursing Program. The remaining three (3) semesters MUST be done at HCC.
For Nursing Credits to transfer they can NOT be more than one (1) year old.
Student's prerequisite GPA must equivalent to the GPA cut-off of the class they are eligible to join.
