AS/AAS – Computer Engineering Technology
AS.CET.UNIV/AAS.CET

(68 Credit Hours)
This program will prepare students for employment in an entry-level position as a computer technician. The course work focuses on the diagnosis and repair of hardware and software in micro, mini, and mainframe computers. With minimal additional specialized training, students may become a field or in-house shop technician.




AS/AAS – Computer Information Technology
AS.CIS.ANA/AAS.CIS.ANA

(63 Credit Hours)
This program prepares students for jobs in the field of PC support specialist, help desk specialist, microcomputer specialist, software specialist, and information systems specialist. Students who can demonstrate proficiency in CGS 1500, OST 1831, and OST 1832 can substitute an approved three credit hour selected elective course.




AS/AAS – Computer Programming
AS.COP/AAS.COP

(63 Credit Hours)
This program prepares students for jobs in the field of computer programmer aide, junior programmer, senior programmer, data manager, programmer analyst, and mid-range computer specialist.




AAS – Database Technology
AAS.DB.MCDA/AAS.DB.MCSD/AAS.DB.OCDA

Option A – MCDBA
Microsoft Certified Database Administrator
This option prepares students for MCDBA certification. It develops the skills necessary to lead organizations in the successful design, implementation, and administration of Microsoft SQL Server databases with the Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA) credential.

Option B - MCSD
Microsoft Certified Solution Developer
This option prepares students for MCAD certification. It develops the skills to use Microsoft tools and technologies to build and maintain department-level applications and components, maintain Web or desktop clients, or provide back-end data services.

Option C — Oracle Certified Database
This option prepares students for Oracle certification. A typical Oracle Database Administrator (ODBA) ensures that an Oracle database system operates correctly and efficiently and that the database’s security is not compromised. Most ODBAs are in charge of specifying levels of access to the database and ensuring that users are correctly and efficiently connected to the database.

Option D — Oracle Certified Database Developer
This option prepares the students for Oracle certification. A typical Oracle Developer creates Oracle databases, forms, and reports to provide user input and to retrieve data from an Oracle database.




AS/AAS – Digital Media/Multimedia Technology
AS.MMT/AAS.MMT

(64 Credit Hours)
This program prepares students for jobs such as desktop publisher, production designer, electronic publisher, illustrator, multimedia specialist, multimedia presentation developer, interface designer, computer graphic designer, and project manager. Students who can demonstrate proficiency in CGS 1500, OST 1831, and OST 1832 can substitute an approved three credit hour specified elective course.

This program prepares students for internet-related jobs such as web designer, site designer, and internet architect.

AS/AAS – Option 3 - E-Commerce
This program prepares students for internet-related jobs such e-commerce developer,
e-commerce coordinator, or e-commerce Web site support.




AS/AAS – Networking Services Technology

General Networking Option

Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) Option
This program prepares students for jobs such as computer network specialist, network administrator, customer support analyst, telecom analyst, project coordinator, systems installer, and network systems engineer. The course focuses on Microsoft Certification and telecommunications specialist.

Unix/Linux System Administration Option
This program prepares students for jobs such as system administrator, network administrator, network specialist, network systems engineer, and customer support analyst. The program focuses on Unix and Linux systems.

Cisco and Telecommunications Option
This program prepares students for jobs such as computer network specialist, network administrator, customer support analyst, telecom analyst, project coordinator, systems installer, and network systems engineer. The focus is on Cisco Certification and telecommunications specialist.
