Students are sent temporary passwords for the library via email.
Passwords are only sent to HCC domain names in order to verify and not to personal domain names such as hotmail, yahoo, AOL, etc. Currently, the domain name on file is “Your user ID@hawkmail.hccfl.edu" (example:msmith10@hawkmail.hccfl.edu).
Your User ID is the same ID that you use to register for classes.
Once you receive a password, you can access the content in the Vault Online Library.
The e-mailed passwords change every 24hrs; each day a student wishes to use the library, he/she will retrieve a new password.
This option allows for accessibility from remote locations.
- Your UserID is now the first initial of your first name, last name, and maybe a number - ajones or ajones5.
- If you haven't checked your new UserID, click https://hccadvisor.hccfl.edu/ (link needs updating) . This will bring you to the HawkNet - WebAdvisor 'What is my UserID' page.
- Your password is your seven-digit student ID number. You must know your student ID number to be able to log in.
