Faculty Extras
I was honored to be an EXCEL Fellow in 2004-05. EXCEL, co-sponsored by HCC, is a leadership development program for women and minorities in Florida higher education. Fellows are asked to conceive and execute a project that will be of institution-wide benefit to HCC. I chose to create a Web site for the then-existing Faculty Development Committee, of which I was a member.

That Web site was later subsumed by the college's Professional Development and Web Services Department (PDWS). The current site, Faculty Extras, contains much of the look, content and organization of my original site. Laurie Saylor of PDWS adapted it to fit within that department's Web presence. Laurie ably maintains the site, and kindly accepts my continuing input. (Thank You, Laurie!)

Creating Assignments That Matter to Students
My special collaboration with Prof. Judith Nolasco, English faculty at the Ybor City Campus, is described in this article I wrote for the Nov. 2007 issue of the campus newsletter, The Lamppost.
