The SouthShore mathematics department says goodbye to Professor Williamson as a full-time math faculty member. We wish him all the best. We also welcome Professor Pogoda as our newest full-time math faculty member! |

| Fall 2011 |
Our old developmental math courses have been given all new numbers and slight changes in content. Pre-Algebra has changed from MAT 0012 to MAT 0018 while Beginning Algebra has changed from MAT 0024 to MAT 0028. This is now the common standard across the state of Florida.

Dr. Hardesty's MAC 1105 College Algebra course was selected for a Catalyst Award for Exemplary Course Design by Blackboard! Less than 20 such awards are given by Blackboard each year.
