Course Syllabus
About the instructor I am a native of Tampa, Florida, and hold a master's degree in English from the University of South Florida. My post-degree studies include journalism courses at the University of Central Florida and a film course at USF. Regarding my professional activities as an English instructor, I am currently the Florida representative of the Two-Year College English Association - Southeast (TYCA-SE). As an instructor, I primarily teach English I and II and usually at least one section of World Literature I or II. In the past, I have also taught Introduction to film. My educational philosophy on teaching writing is that writing is a cerebral/manual skill that develops in tandem with the practices of writing often and reading widely and deeply.
