College Algebra
| Course Description: Provides students with the opportunity to gain algebraic knowledge needed for many fields such as engineering, business, science, computer technology, and mathematics. Graphical and numerical methods support the study of functions and their corresponding equations and inequalities. Students will study linear, quadratic, polynomial, rational, exponential, logarithmic, inverse, composite, radical, and absolute value functions; systems of equations and inequalities; modeling applied problems; and curve fitting techniques.
Prerequisite: MAT 1033 with a grade of at least "C" or required score on HCC placement test.
