Dean Nolasco has been at HCC since January 2000 where she began as Assistant to the Dean of AS and Technical Programs at the Ybor City Campus. She held this position for four years and then became a full time, tenured faculty member in English and Education. She has also taught as an adjunct for HCC and taught dual enrollment when she was a teacher for Hillsborough County. She then worked on special assignment with Dr. Shawn Robinson as the Academic Assistant to the Ybor City Campus President. She coordinated and implemented several projects for him such as the Student Success Seminar Series, she wrote the bi-weekly campus newsletter, the Ybor Spotlight, and she coordinated several activities and workshops for adjunct faculty.

Professor Nolasco holds an Associates Degree from Orange Coast College in Costa Mesa, California, a  Bachelor's Degree in English with a minor in Education from the University of Tampa, and a Master's Degree in English from the University of South Florida. She has recently completed all her coursework for her Doctorate in Higher Ed. Administration at Nova southeastern University and is currently completing her dissertation on the Assessment of General Education Programs.  

Professor Nolasco also teaches an online course in ENC 1101, Intro. to Diversity for Educators, Intro. To Education, and ENC 1102. She has also taught World, American, and British Literature as well as Intro. to Film and Technical Writing.
