Course Objectives
MUT 1001: Fundamentals of Music
- Learn about the staff, clef signs, ledger lines, note identification, and relate it to the piano keyboard.
- Learn the basics of rhythm: notation, counting, meter, time signatures, etc.
- Learn about the major/minor scales, the circle of 5ths and key signatures.
- Learn about chromatic scales and enharmonic notes.
- Learn about intervals.
- Learn the basics of chord construction.
