This is the first of a three course sequence in calculus. Major topics include limits, continuity, and differentiation and integration of algebraic, trigonometric, exponential, and logarithmic functions. Applications include rates of change, related rates, mean value theorem, extreme values, curve sketching, differentials, area, volume, and work. The pre-requisites for the course are MAC 1140 and MAC 1114 (or MAC 1147) with a C or better, or an appropriate score on the math placement exam.
