Ken Atwater, Ph.D., HCC President
Each year more than 48,000 students seek opportunities to pursue their goals at HCC. Small
classes, affordable tuition, transferable college credits and convenient campus locations
make HCC a great choice. The HCC Foundation offers scholarships to help students attain
their education. Your financial support is appreciated as more than one-third of our students
have documented financial need. Thank you for your generosity and for helping students
achieve success.
Debra Bauman,
FY 2011-12 HCC Foundation Board Chair
Thanks to the HCC Foundation directors, staff and many generous donors, the HCC
Foundation had a successful year. Scholarships were awarded to more students than ever,
and the college and faculty received much needed support. Together, we created successes
for HCC, students and Tampa Bay employers.
Rob Ledford,
FY 2012-13 HCC Foundation Board Chair
In the new year, we look forward to working with our donors and engaging new friends
to support the college and to promote student success. During these unstable economic
times, more students need our scholarships. You can assist their educational completion
by attending our events, responding to our mail appeals, or donating online. I invite you to
partner with HCC and the HCC Foundation to help our community prosper.
Adrienne M. Garcia, Ed.D., HCC Foundation Executive Director
During the past decade, we have raised over $25 million for the college and its students.
More importantly, during the next several years we will focus on increasing our endowed
scholarship funds to stabilize our support for students. When Foundation directors and
staff call on you, please respond with the same generosity you have provided in the past—
maybe more! Thank you for making students’ dreams come true by helping them stay in
school and complete their education. The Tampa Bay community is better for it!
