HCC Enrollment Guide 2013-2014
In the Learning Communities, students enroll in two or
more courses that are linked to each other. The ma-
terials studied in one course are coordinated with the
materials studied in the others, and the students receive
credit for all areas of study.
The service learning program allows students to ex-
plore the course material in the classroom, volunteer a
minimum of 10 hours per semester at a local agency or
at HCC on a special project, and then reflect on how
course content connects to the community experience.

HCC’s Zimride community, zimride.hccfl.edu, is our
private social network for ridesharing.
HCC Zimride is a fun and easy way to find friends, class-
mates, and colleagues who are going the same way
you are. Zimride makes it easy to share the seats in your
car or catch a ride.
It’s simple. Have a car? Split the costs by driving fellow
HCC community members. Don’t have a car? Find a
ride where you need to go. You save money, protect
the environment, and have more fun when you share
Membership is free and easy. All HCC students, staff,
and faculty are eligible to sign up for our private Zimride
rideshare community here: zimride.hccfl.edu.
