Door and Building Locks

All HCC facilities which do not have scheduled after-hours activities are locked at the end of the work day.  The District Office closes at 5:00 p.m.; campuses close at 10:00 p.m.  Many of HCC's buildings and laboratories have electronic security systems that are monitored around the clock.  Office and classroom door unlocks must be coordinated through the department of public safety.

Campus Patrols and Safety Checks

Foot patrol officers are ready to escort students and other HCC community members from one location to another. The visibility of these officers helps to deter crime and also serves as a means for officers to form safety hazard checks on campuses.

Prepares Accident/Incident Reports

Public Safety documents and records all accidents, incidents on or off campus if related to activities related to Hillsborough Community College. If you need to report an accident or incident please contact Public Safety at 813.253.7911.
