Suggestion Box Initiatives

The DAC serves as a forum to discuss improvements, concerns, suggestions, and non-academic issues pertaining to HCC. We welcome your ideas to address an enhancement, issue or concern, and will review, acknowledge, and post our findings here.

Thank you for your participation. If you would like to get more involved please consider joining our council.

Please fill out a DAC Suggestion Form, save it with a different name, and email it to gkcac@hccfl.edu.

If you prefer, print the form and place it in a suggestion box.  They are located at:

  • GWSC 4th floor, in the break room
  • Collaboration Studio 2nd floor, next to CITT entrance

Status of suggestions

PB&J Fuel for their Day

Status:  This is a current and ongoing college-wide project that kicked off in January 2014.  Please see the PB&J page dedicated to this project.

Food Trucks

Status:  The food trucks were at GWSC and GHCS from February through October 2014.  The trucks did not bring in enough revenue to cover their expenses the days they were here so the service has been discontinued.  We may try to see if some of the trucks will come back on a limited basis.

Building Signage

Status:   The project began in May 2013 and was completed.  The parking signs were replaced.  The sign between the building was replaced.  Trees were trimmed to allow better visibility.

Heart Monitors

Status:  A sub-committee could not find funds or a sponsor for the project.  One reason was because monitors would need to be installed on all six campuses, not just the district offices.

"Ask Me" Project

Status:  The campaign was to assist students and visitors on campus by directing them to buildings, offices and parking locations.  This project is better addressed by the campuses.  There is currently an IAC committee addressing this campaign.

We encourage you to submit your suggestions.  There is a suggestion box near you!
