Equity and Diversity Training and Tutorials for HCC Employees

Hillsborough Community College values mutual respect, equal access and equal opportunity for all students, faculty and staff. These values will result in a positive, diverse and inclusive work and learning environment. In an effort to ensure that these principles are understood and practiced, our Equity Office is providing on-line training and tutorials for HCC employees. These training modules will serve as a vehicle to raise the College community's level of knowledge on the importance of understanding and valuing diversity. I strongly encourage you to carefully go through these self-study programs and mastery tests.

We have a responsibility to teach tolerance and promote the concept that our cultural, religious and racial differences are to be embraced. Harassment and discrimination have no place on our campuses, in our offices, or within our institution and therefore will not be tolerated. If you know of anyone who has been a victim of harassment or experiencing a hostile work environment, please contact our District Equity Office at 813-253-7037.

Online Training Now Available:  Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964

  • All HCC employees are obligated to participate in workshops each year in order to prevent any actions or situations that may be construed as harassment or discrimination.

    After you complete the training, you will automatically be able to print out a certificate verifying your mastery of the skills from these modules.  You may place these certificates in your personnel file or frame them for your own enjoyment.
