New Digital Television and Media Production Classrooms
In February the Digital Television and Media Production program opened the doors to its brand new, “state-of-the-art,” facility. The 10 room suite on the first floor of the YLRC building includes the new home of Hawk Radio, TV studio and control room, TV studio, classroom, editing lab, the program manager’s office, and new equipment. Dean Jack Evan’s vision was to have an RTV area with lots of windows and access to foot traffic. You can enter the Ybor library building and immediately see the TV control room, monitors, mixers, and all the other “bells and whistles.” You can also watch the radio DJs at work on-air.

The Digital Television and Media Production students, working towards their AS degrees, are excited about the new environment and are already dreaming up new shows to produce there.
