The growing biotechnology program at the HCC Brandon Campus educates and trains students in areas such as genetic engineering, cell culture, ethics and protein purification. Partnering with local businesses in the bioscience industry, HCC helps students seek positions in pharmaceuticals, molecular diagnostics, manufacturing, research and more. Four recent biotechnology graduates have gone on to follow promising pathways in pursuit of careers in this exciting field.
Christina is now attending pharmacy school. Nuclear technology and biomedical studies are on the horizon for Jason.
Two graduates landed great jobs: Kriss as a microbiologist/biotechnologist at a medical diagnostic company, and Juliana as a biotechnology QA/QC analyst.
Current biotechnology student Daniel was accepted into a high-level, work-study internship at a hospital working with transgenic animals.
