HCC electric car wins College’s first electrathon trophy
The HCC Brandon Campus Engineering Club brought home their inaugural first place trophy from the Feb. 23 Electrathon “5th Annual Cool Runnings” race at the University of South Florida (USF).
High school and college students and hobbyists design and build their own electric cars to race in these exciting competitions taking place in the Tampa area several times each year. HCC’s Brandon Campus hosted the Nov. 3 Electrathon competition in their auxiliary parking lot.
USF often performs well in these events, so it’s especially noteworthy that the HCC car was able to win at USF’s course this time around. Congratulations to our talented, dedicated HCC Electrathon team!
