Hillsborough Community College Baseball will host its Third Annual Community Baseball Night at Steinbrenner Field on Wednesday, April 10, 2013. The HCC Hawks will take on the Pasco-Hernando Community College Conquistadors with first pitch at 6 p.m.
HCC invites the Tampa Bay community to experience a night of fun and baseball with students, alumni, family and friends at the New York Yankees Spring Training Complex, One Steinbrenner Drive, Tampa, FL 33614.
Students, staff, alumni, and friends are encouraged to wear their Hawk colors to show their school spirit and support. The game is free and open to the public--everyone is encouraged to bring friends and family. The Dale Mabry Student Government Association has a lineup of fun activities before and during the game. There will also be giveaways for the first 100 people to arrive. Share in the spirit of sportsmanship and come support our student athletes. A great night of fun at Steinbrenner is something to experience!
Coach Gary Calhoun is excited about the opportunity for the college’s athletes to experience the excitement of play on a professional field. "We are thrilled to be playing at Steinbrenner; it's an experience for everyone, and we hope that the community will come and show their support of our team.”
HCC baseball is part of the Florida College System Activities Association (FCCAA) and the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA). The Athletics Department at HCC is committed to the total development of each student-athlete.
