Hawks, Line, & Sinker Inshore Fishing Tournament
Sixty-eight avid anglers teamed up with renowned Bay area captains to fish for a cause at the second annual Morganti Group HCC Hawks, Line, & Sinker Inshore Fishing Tournament on September 14, 2012.
The catch and release Inshore Slam tournament featured three species categories—snook, trout and red fish—with prizes for the longest three fish of each species and the Grand Slam, largest total of the three fish by any one angler.
The event netted approximately $25,000 to fund HCC Foundation scholarships for students who need financial help getting through college. During 2011-2012, the HCC Foundation awarded $1.4 million in scholarships to 1,400 deserving HCC students. Events like the fishing tournament contribute to the total of scholarship funds available.
Grand Slam Winner Susan Inman accepts her Prize from Tournament Director Jim Inman (l) and HCC Senior Vice President Rob Wolf (r). She ended the day with the highest total length of fish caught --a total of 87 inches of all three fish!
Anglers looking forward to a good day on the water
