2005-2006 Associate in
Science/Associate in Applied Science Advising
Guides.
The following Advising Guides list the
requirements necessary to receive a degree or certificate in
one of the Associate in Science or Associate in Applied
Science programs currently offered at Hillsborough Community
College.
Some or all of these courses may be
transferable to a senior institution, therefore students
interested in pursuing a bachelor's degree upon completion of
an AS or AAS should see an academic advisor or counselor for
more information.
Public universities in Florida now
accept seven AS degrees to transfer to programs in their
institutions. The AS degrees in this articulation agreement
are: (1)Business Administration, (2)Computer Engineering,
(3)Criminal Justice, (4)Electronics Engineering Technology,
(5)Hospitality and Tourism Management,(6) Nursing, and
(7)Radiography.
The following Guides do not constitute
a contract. They represent the minimum hours and course work
necessary to satisfy specific degree requirements. Additional
preparatory courses may be necessary in reading, English, or
mathematics, depending on placement test scores.
Students should see an Advisor or Counselor the first
semester to determine if any preparatory courses are required
or if any program revisions have occurred.
The
following guides apply to students who begin enrollment in the
2005-2006 academic year or who are former students returning
to HCC. Students who enrolled under a previous catalog and
meet the continuous enrollment criteria should see an Advisor
or Counselor for the appropriate Guide.
