A
College Credit Certificate may be awarded for programs
of less than two years in selected technical areas leading to
an Associate in Applied Science degree. The College Credit
Certificates are designed to prepare the student for entry
into a particular field or to upgrade the skills of those
already employed in the field.
Some or all of these
courses may be apply to the two year AS or AAS degrees offered
at HCC. Speak to the Program Manager of the program you are
interested in or see an Advisor for more information.
A
Postsecondary Adult Vocational Program prepares
individuals for employment in a specific job in business or
industry. PSAV certificate credit requirements vary in the
number of hours required for completion. Courses in these
programs are not considered as college credit. Please
see an advisor or counselor for more information on any PSAV
program.
The following guides do not constitute a
contract. They represent the minimum hours and course work
necessary to satisfy specific degree requirements. Additional
preparatory courses may be necessary in reading, English, or
mathematics, depending on placement test scores.
Students should see an Advisor or Counselor their
first semester to determine if any preparatory courses are
required or if any program revisions have occurred.
The
following guides apply to students who begin enrollment in the
2005-2006 academic year or who are former students returning
to HCC. Students who enrolled under a previous catalog and
meet the continuous enrollment criteria should see an Advisor
or Counselor for the appropriate Advising Guide.
