A College Credit Certificate may be awarded for programs of less than two years in selected technical areas leading to an Associate in Applied Science degree. The College Credit Certificates are designed to prepare the student for entry into a particular field or to upgrade the skills of those already employed in the field.

Some or all of these courses may be apply to the two year AS or AAS degrees offered at HCC. Speak to the Program Manager of the program you are interested in or see an Advisor for more information.

A Postsecondary Adult Vocational Program prepares individuals for employment in a specific job in business or industry. PSAV certificate credit requirements vary in the number of hours required for completion. Courses in these programs are not considered as college credit. Please see an advisor or counselor for more information on any PSAV program.

The following guides do not constitute a contract. They represent the minimum hours and course work necessary to satisfy specific degree requirements. Additional preparatory courses may be necessary in reading, English, or mathematics, depending on placement test scores.

Students should see an Advisor or Counselor their first semester to determine if any preparatory courses are required or if any program revisions have occurred.

The following guides apply to students who begin enrollment in the 2005-2006 academic year or who are former students returning to HCC. Students who enrolled under a previous catalog and meet the continuous enrollment criteria should see an Advisor or Counselor for the appropriate Advising Guide.
