Hillsborough Community College makes available to students and the public current academic calendars, grading policies and refund policies through a variety of publications and in student orientations. Publications are made available in multiple formats, including print, CD-ROM, and PDF documents on the College’s website.
Publications in hardcopy and CD formats are distributed by College advisors, recruiters, and others, and are available at the Student Services Offices located on each campus.
In accordance with Florida Statutes (Florida Statutes 1006.50), HCC updates annually the Student Handbook that includes a comprehensive calendar that emphasizes important dates and deadlines.
Hillsborough Community College’s Academic Calendar for both regular and weekend College students is printed in the HCC Catalog (pp. 10-13), and in the Student Handbook and Academic Planner (inside front and back covers), as well as offered in electronic format in the CD-ROM version of the College Catalog and on the College’s website. Important College calendar dates for regular on-campus credit courses are listed on the inside cover of the credit course schedules published each spring, summer, and fall (HCC credit course schedule).
Academic policies, including grading policies, are printed in the HCC Catalog (pp. 62-63). A review of the College’s grading policies is also discussed with students during new student orientation. Information on Academic Grade Appeals and Academic Dismissal is included in the HCC Student Handbook and Academic Planner (pp. 32-33).
Refund policies are printed in the HCC Catalog (p. 51). The HCC Catalog is made available in hardcopy (print) and in PDF format on the College’s website.
