As required under college policy, the president is responsible for the annual evaluation of the Cabinet, College Attorney and Assistant to the President.  All other administrators are annually evaluated by their immediate administrative supervisor (HCC Administrative Rule 6HX-10-3.18).

The President evaluates the effectiveness of HCC administrators who are direct-reports and monitors their progress on achieving their goals and objectives through bi-weekly Cabinet meetings with executive staff and other periodic meetings. Deans, directors, managers, and supervisors are evaluated annually by the appropriate campus president or supervising administrator (Administrator Mission Participation Review Form). Evaluations are used to set the personal goals of administrators and their units.  Each goal must be directly linked to a College value to show its relevance in helping to fulfill HCC’s mission.

The President of HCC is evaluated annually by the HCC District Board of Trustees as required under Florida Statutes, Section 1001.64(19). As the chief executive, the responsibilities of the position are specifically delineated under Florida Statutes, Section 1001.65 and State Board of Education Rule 6A-14.0261.  The President’s evaluation is based upon annual goals as set by the Board of Trustees and the president's annual goals.
