Beginning with the Spring 2003 semester, Hillsborough Community College is pleased to offer state employees the opportunity to take college courses TUITION FREE!
Full time employees of the State of Florida may enroll in up to 6 credit hours each semester on a "space-available" basis. Space-available is defined as the first day of the class, during Drop and Add. Please note that this program does not include persons employed by the state university system, the community college system, or local school districts.
All eligible state employees must submit the State Employee Waiver Form signed by the employee's supervisor and agency director, and complete the HCC application process if not a currently enrolled HCC student. All new students must complete the HCC application, take the appropriate placement tests and attend orientation and advising prior to registration. Tuition and fees, such as student activity fees, will be waived. Participants will be responsible for the application fee, lab fees and any other "user" fees such as parking.

Register on any campus!
Registration for this program must be done in person on any HCC campus. Registration for each course taken through the Tuition Waiver Program must take place on the first day of the class through the end of the College's Drop and Add period. STATE EMPLOYEES WHO ARE REGISTERED PRIOR TO THE DROP/ADD DATE WILL NOT BE PERMITTED TO CHANGE THEIR SCHEDULE IN ORDER TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE FEE WAIVER. Click the "Registration Procedures" button on the left for more detailed registration information.
Payment with Waiver
When registration is completed, present the signed State Employee Waiver Form to the HCC Cashier to pay for up to six credit hours. Click the links below to view and print a copy of the memo generated by the state of Florida detailing the payment plan and a copy of the State Employee Waiver Form:
