Changes to the Federal Pell Grant Awards
For the past two years the Higher Education Opportunity Act (HEOA) section 401 permitted students to receive up to two consecutive Federal Pell Grant scheduled awards within an academic year (Year Round Pell). In April 2011, the 2011 Continuing Appropriations Act amended the HEA by eliminating a provision that allowed for a student to receive two Pell Grant awards in the same award year. Students who enroll full-time in both Fall and Spring terms and receive their full Pell Grant entitlement, will not have any Pell Grant funds available for the Summer term 2012.
Please Note *All communication regarding your Financial Aid Awards, Status, Missing Documents, etc. will be sent to you via Hawkmail only. You can review your financial aid status anytime by logging into your WebAdvisor account.*
