Steps for Enrollment

  1. Apply Online
    Research academic programs in the college catalog and advising guides. Submit required proof of residency if seeking in-state tuition.
  2. Secure your College Funding
    Apply for Financial Aid at Enroll in our Tuition Installment Plans (TIPS).
  3. Request Transcripts
    Request high school, GED, college or other transcripts as soon as possible.
  4. Complete the Online Welcome Orientation
    Access the Welcome Orientation at    
    Once the Welcome Orientation is complete, you may connect with an academic advisor.
  5. Connect with an Academic Advisor
    Bring unofficial copies of test scores, high school transcripts, and college transcripts with you. An advising session cannot be completed without a full picture of your academic history. You are eligible to connect with an advisor after completing the Welcome Orientation. Advisors see students on a walk-in basis.
  6. Complete the Registration Workshop
    The advisor will provide access to the online Registration Workshop for transfer students, former students returning to HCC, and non-degree-seeking students.
    Advisors will schedule all first time in college students for an on-campus Registration Workshop.
  7. Register for Classes and Pay
