Campus Advisory Council (CAC): Chair - Mindy Neal. The CAC provides advice and recommendations for action on campus matters to the Campus President. If an issue has college-wide impact, the committee presents findings and recommendations to the Institutional Advisory Council (IAC) which considers items for possible submittal to the College President. Meetings for the CAC are generally the first Friday of each month at 11am. Serving on the CAC also commits you to serving on the Institutional Advisory Council which meets on the first Friday of each month at 1 pm. CAC members are elected from the classified and facilities staff, professional-managerial employees, faculty and the student body.
International Festival: Chair - Michael Massey. The festival takes place in April and includes a parade of flags ceremony, display of international artifacts and food tasting.
Faculty-Staff Professional Development (F-SPD): Chair - Tim Griffin. The committee critiques requests for funding from the FSPD budget.
United Way: Chair - Cynthia Brady. The committee actively works to encourage employees to contribute to the United Way charity (October/November.)
Hispanic Heritage: Chair - Luz Lono. Organizes events for the Hispanic Heritage month (October.)
CARE Committee (Holiday food drive): Co-chairs - Judy Nolasco/Sheila Merchant. Holiday food drive for Metropolitan Ministries both at Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Native American History Month: Co-chairs Alex Bell and Susan McClung. Informs the campus on the many Native American tribes and salutes their history (November.)
Holiday Committee: Chair - Cindy Green. Works throughout the year to fund-raise for and then organize the campus’s Holiday Luncheon.
Women’s History Month: Chair - Christopher Weeks. Events to celebrate women during Women’s History Month (March).
Black History Month: Chair - Edna Jones Miller. Plans events, with SGA, to honor Black History Month (February.)
Dr. King Committee: Chair - Carlton Williams. Works with the chair from the Dale Mabry Campus on organizing the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration (January.)
Sunshine Fund Committee: Chair - Bridget Harris. For fifteen years the Sunshine Fund has been a vehicle by which full-time employees at the Ybor City Campus have shown their colleagues that they care. Flowers are sent from the fund when an employee is hospitalized or has lost a close family member (parent, spouse or child.) Through fundraising events and from donations from the Campus Family the fund has flourished.
