Because computers are expensive, and food and drink can be accidentally be spilled on them, no food or drinks are allowed in the labs.
-
Please sign in if you are using the lab and are not in a scheduled class.
-
Please see a lab tech any time you need assistance on how to virus-scan your thumb drive, sign in, or operate the equipment. Do not diagnose computer, printer, or any other equipment problems on your own. See a lab tech immediately.
-
Please do not save any work or download files to the hard drive. Storage media is available in the bookstore for purchase.
-
Only lab techs are authorized to install software or programs on the computers.
-
Lab techs are available and willing to assist you; however, it is your responsibility to prepare for class by reading the book and then doing your own work. The lab techs will help to the best of their ability, but be aware that they also have other duties and are not personal tutors.
-
When using the printers, please limit your final printout to only 1 copy. If you need additional copies, there are copy machines located at the bookstore and library.
-
Do not change any settings on the computers or any other equipment unless instructed to do so. If your coursework calls for changes, please change the settings back to the original settings before leaving the lab.
-
If you need any assistance while in the labs, such as turning on the computer, shutting down the computer, or getting into a program, please see one of the lab techs in Room 229.
-
Room 229 is primarily for students who are scheduled and enrolled in the independent study courses of word processing and keyboarding.
