Jeff Leary - Auto Collision Repair and Refinishing Academy - Program Coordinator / Lead Instructor

Jeff Leary

Jeff Leary has always had a passion for cars. A graduate of Land O' Lakes High School, Jeff became eligible to work in the collision repair industry while attending classes through an on-the-job program promoting workforce training, solidifying a job as a painter by the age of 18. Employed in a local Tampa repair shop,  Jeff gained a tremendous amount of experience in the collsion repair and refinishing industry, from restoration work to major body collsion repairs, and soon earned his ASE Master Certification.  Jeff brings over 20 years of experience to this, his dream job, teaching the trade he loves at Hillsborough Community College.


Darrell Kincaid - Auto Collision Repair and Refinishing Academy - Instructor

 Darrell Kincaid

Darrell grew up in the collision repair industry, learning the tools of the trade from childhood in his father's collision repair shop. After graduating high school, he joined the industry professionally, becoming both an ASE Master Certified Collision Repair Technician and Platinum I-CAR Certified Technician, In all, Darrell brings over 20 years of experience to the HCC Collision Repair Academy and finds his most interesting challenge in the ever-changing world of vehicle technology. A race car enthusiast with a passion for cars, Darrell believes that the industry needs well-trained techs who strive to deliver quality and precision to the clients they serve. He finds teaching an opportunity to give back to the industry and says its greatest reward is working with students and training the collision repair industry leaders of tomorrow.


Mario Mirabal - Automotive Service Technology Academy - Program Coordinator / Lead Instructor

 Mario Mirabal

Of Puertorican descent, Mario Mirabal began his career in mechanics with the US Navy as a nuclear machinest.  In 2001, Mario began working in the automotive industry and has accumulated over 13 years of experience in the industry.  He is a master technician, certified in all areas of Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) and is also part owner of a local shop in the Tampa Bay area.  Certifications include but are not limited to; Snap-On diagnostic certified trainer and Toyota certified master diagnostic technician. 


Steve Conti - Automotive Service Technology Academy - Recruiter / Instructor

 Steve Conte

Steve began his career in mechanics as a young kid working in private shops on stock cars and motorcycles and in dealerships working on whatever they would let him put his hands on. When he grew into his profession, he became an ASE Certified  Master Mechanic and taught high school automotives in the Tampa Bay Area for ten years before joining HCC as an instructor and recruiter for the Automotive Academy. His favorite part of working for HCC's Auto Academy is helping students to develop skills for their future in automotives. When he's not working, Steve enjoys restoring old cars and motorcycles in his spare time.



Carlos Segui - Automotive Service Technology Academy - Instructor

 Carlos Segui

Automotive instructor, Carlos Segui began his career as a dealership service technician and soon became certified as an Automotive Service Excellence Master Technician, Advance Engine Performance Specialist and a Toyota Master Diagnostic Technician. He has a passion for teaching and looks forward to helping his students develop skills to continue growing in the automotive industry.  Hobbies include motorsports, car modifications and customization.


Christian Ross - Deisel Engine Specialist Program Coordinator / Lead Instructor

 Christian Ross

Kentucky native Christian Ross has had a diverse career, from nine years with the U.S. Army to teaching automotive courses at California’s Barstow Community College. ASE certified in engine repair, suspension and automatic transmissions, Ross has over 20 years experience in the automotive industry.
