CRIME SCENE PROGRAM

COURSES OF STUDY

 

STUDENTS CAN SEEK:

  • A Crime Scene College Credit Certificate alone, or
  • An Associates Degree in Criminal Justice Technology with a Crime Scene Track, or
  • A Crime Scene College Credit Certificate at the same time and along with an Associates Degree in Criminal Justice Technology, or
  • To simply take Crime Scene classes as electives. Most crime scene classes can be used as an elective for most Associates Degrees.

CRIME SCENE CERTIFICATE


A student interested in crime scene can choose to seek a Crime Scene College Credit Certificate. This requires 28 credit hours. This College Certificate is recommended for those students who are interested in a career in crime scene technology and already have a college degree or do not want one.

A.S. DEGREE WITH A CRIME SCENE TRACK


A student interested in crime scene can choose to seek an A.S. Degree in Criminal Justice Technology with a Crime Scene Track. This will require 64 credit hours.

A.S. Degree Crime Scene Track Required Courses

 


COMBINED CRIME SCENE CERTIFICATE AND A.S. DEGREE


A student interested in crime scene can choose to seek both an A.S. Degree in Criminal Justice Technology and the Crime Scene College Credit Certificate at the same time. This will require 71 credit hours as follows:

A.S. Criminal Justice Technology Crime Scene Track - 64 Credits
Latent Fingerprint Development - 2 Credits
Fingerprint Classification - 2 Credits
Forensic Photography - 3 Credits
