Dr. Darwin Driggers is an Adjunct Professor of Criminal Justice and serves as the Faculty Advisor of the Criminal Justice Student Association at the Ybor City campus.  Darwin Driggers served as a Correctional Services Consultant with the Florida Department of Corrections, and started with the FDOC in May of 1978. During his career, he has served as a Correctional Probation Officer, Court Officer, Court Case Co-Coordinator, and Correctional Services Assistant Administrator, where he was responsible for the training for all certified probation officers in Hillsborough County. He was a member of the Department’s Post Trauma Support Team, which offered counseling to staff members who have been through an immediate crisis event. He earned a Masters of Science degree in Criminal Justice from Nova/ Southeastern University and a Doctorate in Counseling/ Psychology from The University of Sarasota (University of Chicago). He has taught Sociology/ Family and Marriage here at HCC and has also taught at the International Academy (Interpersonal Communications) and for the Hillsborough County Board of Public Instruction (Law for the Layman, Sociology and Psychology).    He has been an Adjunct Professor at HCC for over ten years.
