William B. Iler, Jr., is the owner and president of Iler & Associates, Inc., providing private investigations and specializing in corporate security. Prior, he was the corporate security manager for TECO Energy and managed security, criminal and internal investigations, and physical security for the company and its subsidiaries in the U.S. and Central America and served as the company’s liaison to local, state, federal, and judicial agencies as well as U.S. Embassy staff and international security consultants. His background also includes a 20-year career with the Tampa Police Department, where he supervised officers, worked homicides, Vice control, Organized Crime, and developed the first Street Anti-Crime and Undercover Surveillance Unit for the TPD. He has also instructed at the Police Academy, HCC, and other local Universities. Mr. Iler is a retired Lieutenant Commander of the U.S. Naval Reserve and served in the Intelligence and Security fields and as an anti-terrorism training officer. He earned a Master of Science degree in Criminal Justice from Rollins College and has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social & Behavioral Sciences from the USF and an Associates degree in Police Science from Hillsborough Community College.
