Important Notice Concerning Statutory Changes
Effective October 1, 2009, individuals applying for certification as a Firefighter in the State of Florida must show documentation evidencing one of the following:
Students applying for the HCC Fire Academy after January 2010 will be required to submit proper documentation showing proof of the above with his/her application.
Note: Applicants who are currently enrolled in EMT / Paramedic training are allowed (and encouraged) to submit their application with the projected completion date of the EMT / Paramedic course noted on the form. This will allow the student a better chance of securing a seat in the class which he or she prefers.
