Chorus
9-29-12
Mr. Brett Karlin, director of HCC's choral studies, Ms. Emi Stefanov, pianist, and both choirs plus special appearences by guests, gave an outstanding concert this evening. Voice instructor Stephanie Barnett-Sager sang with the chorus presenting Mozart's "Laudate Dominum". Elsewhere on the program Mrs. Barnett-Sager sang "Pie Jesu" from Faure's Requiem. Mr. Karlin's vision for the concert centered around individuals and communities who are dealing with loss. He opened the concert with plainsong, "Requiem aeternum", sung in the aisles surrounding the audience, which was followed by members from Mr. John Demas guitar studio who set up an ostinato as the choir made their way to the stage. Bravo Coro!
