Black, Brown and College Bound

The Jazz Quartet from HCC (plus an alumni) played at the president's reception of the college's symposium for African American and Hispanic youth.  This symposium, "Black, Brown and College Bound" addresses the issues that face college bound students from both student and administrative perspectives. 

The quartet played in the Snowy Egret room of the Grand Hyatt Hotel on the Courtney Campbell Causway from 6:30 until 7-ish and entertained with some great swing tunes mixed in with some lively Latin numbers.  Members from the stage band who played:  Patrick Ensley, sax and band leader; Evan Thibeault, percussion; Richard Jimenez, bass; Malcolm Haile, keys.
