The Fungi
Fungus organisms represent the transition from a simplistic, unicellular lifestyle and body design to the more advanced multicellular approach to lifestyle and body design.
Fungus organisms are saprobes (saprophytes), which means they are a special class of heterotrophs that absorb rather than actively seek their food. Fungus organisms are classified (in part) based on the design of their reproductive organs.
