The appendicular skeleton consists of the bones of the pectoral (shoulder) girdle, pelvic (hip) girdle, arms, legs, hands, and feet.
The humerus is a typical long bone. It has a rounded head that articulates with the glenoid_fossa of the scapula. The two condyles at the distal end of the humerus (the trochlea and capitulum) articulate with the ulna and the radius, respectively.
