Anatomy of the Endocrine System
The endocrine system consists of a series of glands and organs that produce regulatory chemicals known as hormones. The glands of the endocrine system are ductless; whereas most other glands in the body (such as sweat and oil glands) have ducts. Glands with ducts are referred to as exocrine glands.
